With two integrated sensors, the BG-SWA detects fluid in the bilge and will automatically turn ON the bilge pump. The bilge pump will turn OFF when no water or liquid is detected. Continuous fluid detection of 3 seconds (factory default setting) will trigger the high water alarm – this can signify a non-working or overwhelmed bilge pump.
The BG-SWA is an electronic bilge pump switch that uses patented technology to precisely and reliably pump water out of the bilge. Pump power is controlled by the BG-SWA. The BG-SWA is CE and ISO 8846 Marine Ignition Protection Certified, tested to ABYC-1500 standards. Two integrated sensors will turn the bilge pump ON when water or any liquid is detected and turn OFF when no water or liquid is detected.
With no moving parts, the BG-SWA is a dependable alternative to mechanical float switches. Wireless Bluetooth connectivity enables users to adjust pump run time, test, and view its status via BGI Config App. Built-in splash protection to prevent false activation in rough waters – adjustable and can be disabled.
The BG-SW can be tested and its status can be viewed using the BGI Config App, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. The App is used on a mobile device with Bluetooth to wirelessly connect to the BG-SW device. The App will report the input voltage level and system temperature. It also allows changing the name of the device for easy identification and testing the device.
Each BG-SWA comes with a mounting bracket that attaches horizontally or vertically to the bulkhead or hull with #8×0.75” 316 stainless steel screws. Connects to any 12, 24, or 32 Vdc bilge pump and alarm panel on the market today.
